So, wow. Wow. That was some drama, wow. Apparently I am taking it upon myself to talk like Bartok from Anastasia, idk why. The important thing here is everyone probably needs a place to come together to discuss things that went down and also figure out how everyone that saw/heard/was impacted by things are going to react and deal with...everything. There's been more than one bit of drama for some characters, and with the festival and Eight's Christmas coming up, it's a good time to figure out where everyone is. I fail at wording things, I am so so sorry.
Let's discuss and plot and handwave and do all sorts of awesome things.

It's primarily a tool for stirring chaos, which creates energy, and universal energy--the stuff that keeps life force of universes going--is what Voidlings thrive on. The higher the energy generated, the more it grows. Voidlings are the <i.>fully sentient focus, but the psychic energy they give off is toxic to Pilots and folk that spend time in space, so they're the first affected. The more time you spend in space (Pilots train regularly and are sent on training runs, etc.), the more likely it is that you'll go Mad. So far, there haven't been any cases since The Weeping, which was the last great galactic war. Two Pilots, one Mad, sacrificed their lives to seal a rip in time and space before Voidlings came through. In Ril's time, that rip has slowly reopened, and no one believes the stories about that sector of space. It's very Bermuda Triangle.
The Madness affects time sense as well, disrupting it in an attempt to destabilize the victim, and slowly, carefully drives them insane. The greater the insanity, the more it thrives. In the later stages her eye color will become tainted with something Six might remember when he encountered it; a sort of oily blackness, and they'll stop reflecting light at all. It's a thing that has been inside her virtually since she was bonded to Eth. Minute traces of it, sniffing around the nooks and crannies, like it does all Pilots. I'm not sure it's communicable, I don't think so, but I'm certain Brax and Romana, and Six, will help her break free long enough to do what she has to do to get rid of it.

I think I'd only be interested in that if it were left unknown how that happened ICly, because I doubt Six would be all that keen and I don't want it to break he and Brax up.

But, I think giving her the means to do it herself and making sure Six doesn't have to watch her die would work okay. It ought to be by her own hand, at least she'd insist upon it. Asgard's done enough to force others into things, and she likes Braxiatel too much to ask him for much more than letting her have the tools and opportunity necessary. It'll be hard enough to break through, but he's got Bardic Influence which might come in handy.

But, in the end, it's all good...mostly.

It's good and terrible all at once.
