Hello there, my Wholigans. January is upon us, and it's a great time to check in after the holidays and let everyone know what you and yours was up to here recently, what they will be up to in January, and what sort of things you're wanting to do in the upcoming weeks/months!

Use this space to plot & plan stuff for the upcoming event stuff, or doing things outside it. It's good times up here in the Whovian Task Force.

Sixth Doctor

Ok so Six has been... doing stuff. Namely teaching Ril English and some Gallifreyan, and learning Antedan from her and being all boyfriendy and accidentally getting engaged and possibly married depending on what happens there. And some other stuff, probably.

For January, I don't have many plans... but one thing I'm determined to do is finally change him into a cat--probably during/in the middle of the Friend in Need plot. And if Ril ends up going to help the Elves, so will he gdi. He's not willing to let her go into danger without him... he can be useful. Probably.

Clara

Most important thing first, Clara will be canon updating at the same time as Eleven & the TARDIS this month! I think we agreed mid-month at some point, and I'm almost positive that she'll be vanishing over the dream method but I am still waffling I CAN'T DECIDE. Regardless, she will be pretty upset after coming back since she'll have seen Eleven regenerate and will think she and Twelve are careening out of control in the TARDIS to blow up somewhere or something. So she will be pretty clingy to Eleven once she's back. Good times.

Also, since the poll from the event thing hasn't been decided yet, depending on when update things fall, she will most definitely be jumping into action and helping with things. She will definitely want to help the Elves one way or another.

And she and Jamie have a thing that's probably not a secret to anyone but Clara thinks it's a secret because she's awkward when it comes to relationships and has no idea how to do them without getting scared and running away. So that's another big thing that's happening for her.

This month, Jamie's more than likely going to wind up helping out with the elves in some way - although in what way exactly is yet to be determined. Once the poll results come back and there's more of an idea of what's going to happen I'll just go from there.

Apart from that, the canon update that Eleven, Clara and the TARDIS are doing is going to mean he's going to be freaking out at a least a little bit and really unhappy while they're gone/asleep, depending on who's doing what. Since I think the TARDIS is going the sleep route, though, he might catch on enough that it'll mitigate it some, but we'll have to see there.

Once she comes back, he'll probably be a little extra clingy with her, because as mentioned in Clara's post up there they have a thing that probably everyone knows about anyway, especially since Jamie isn't always so great when it comes to keeping secrets. And I'd imagine there'd be a talk/reunion of some sort after she's returned at some point, the exact point depending on when everything goes down.

So right now it's a month of 'let's see what happens and go from there', which is pretty much the norm for me anyway. xD

So the most important thing (I'm sure everyone knows by now) the TARDIS is getting updated mid-month to the end of the Christmas special alongside Eleven and Clara. She is going the sleep-update route so that means:

WHO WANTS TO WAKE UP NEXT TO HER ONLY TO DISCOVER SHE WON'T WOKE FOR ANYTHING?

This mostly applies to Doctors seeing as how she usually falls asleep next to one every night.

For the rest of the month she'll just...be doing her thing.

Near the end of the month/possibly the beginning of February, she is going to sit the entire group down and tell them about Gallifrey. It will depend on what happens with the plot.

Otherwise I have no other solid plans for the month.

If no one else is really itching for it, I'm not going to lie I'd personally love to have Two be that one.

Eleventh Doctor

Eleven will be slowly picking himself back together somehow. He's going to help the Elves in any way he can, of course. If they're going to Alfheim, he's definitely coming along.

And like Clara and the TARDIS, he'll be updating to the end of the Christmas Special. He's going to go home for a day or two sometimes in the middle of the month. It probably won't collide with any event? I doubt we're looking to add more stuff onto that, fffft. As soon as he's updated, he'll be in a better mood because of that, with knowing Gallifrey actually didn't burn and having all those years on his back and having basically come to be at peace with himself as much as the Doctor can be at peace with himself. And then he'll help the TARDIS with the Gallifrey talk.

January depends on who's going off to fight, because Ril would go with to heal and to fight, and possibly might die again (depends on how things go). She'll do ber best to make sure cat!Six doesn't get stepped on hurt if he comes with.

She's also unconsciously partitioning her mind in order to save her brain-space since she can't offload to Eth like usual, and that'll take awhile. It means she'll sleep in a ton, be harder to wake, randomly fall asleep in people's laps, etc. It's not something she can consciously control, but as of January 1st, that's on.

She's also having glitchy temporal tense issues, like she's thought of something and is in multiple stages of doing it. Most of the time, she'll correct herself, but it'll start getting worse until she won't recognize she's using the wrong tense at all.

The fragment of Madness is the thing causing half her issues, so her being off kilter will be part of that whole subplot.

As above, she's learning English and Gallifreyan from Six and teaching him Antedan thanks to Mirrorverse. And yes, accidental engagement surprise! may just lead to Six and Ril getting married because, really, they're p. there already. But it will be lovely and there will be fluff, dammit.

The Master

In case anyone is at all interested in the Master this month, the basic gist is as follows. He's working on improving his power of body control (aka I want level 2 and can probably get it next month if I don't slack off) and that should be something he'll eventually brag about and show off with. So, you know, that's more of a February thing but it's looming. He's also planning on making his first network post very soon to introduce himself and try to see if anyone will give him some spare/left over/damaged tech at any level. This is a guy that made a ship out of food and paperclips so he doesn't need much.

And he's trying to make as many friends as possible by networking around and being Mister Nice-guy. So he'll probably be avoiding the who cast because, lets face it, they can ruin all his attempts at making friends. But hey, I'm sure we'll all have threads anyway. You guys literally can't keep away, huh? Really, his month is just planting the seeds and amassing power. He won't be helping anyone, especially not elves because he's really not interested in helping, saving or generally being nice to anyone unless it does something for him.

Can he and Clara have fun playing with powers? She'll probably be level 3 at the end of this month and will want someone she can wrap in vines and make plant cages with.

They should practise together until next month when they get their updates... though the Master will get to play body control with her. Odds are, the Doctor will not be happy :|

The Master should give Clara a gift in Jan, a late Christmas one that's really nice and maybe a little stolen. Just so they reaffirm being buddies again. So they can practise powers and stuff.

But, erm, he may go overboard so she will eventually have to put the smack down on him.

Irving's gone up a level, so he's able to create illusions. I haven't had reason to bring this up yet, so I haven't decided whether he knows and just hasn't said, or hasn't noticed yet.

In January, he'll be all for doing the right thing, but will also be staying put, thank you very much, because IRVING VALUES HIS LIFE THANK YOU.

Once he finds out about Gallifrey, he'll be very confused and curious, because he's come back from a canon update that literally left him with the power to FIX ALL THE THINGS but this is Big Finish so that's bound to be painful and not as simple as it appears and Brax expects as much. He will probably not talk about his inner turmoil, though.

Turlough will definitely be helping out with the elves as he really likes the gods and wants to help them out as best they can. What this means is that he'll officially come out of the Hel closet, as he'll probably be attempting to use his powers to help out somehow, be it trying to force none of the Doctors to fight or what. idk how many people know he's in Hel as he's DEFINITELY told some of the cast, but most of the cast he's been lying to and saying he's in House Odin.

also at some point he'll probably make a post just going "HOW MANY TYPES OF DOGS ARE THERE?" because I like that idea

Sarah Jane Smith

I'm still trying to settle in the game and gain CR and not become overwhelmed from the size of everything....

That being said, I don't have anything officially planned out and I'd be glad to play off of anyone. Sarah Jane would most likely be helping the elves, given she hates feeling useless.

Any other ideas/suggestions/whatever, just let me know!

Geez, look how slow I am this month. I think my brain's still un-frazzling from all that Christmas party and proposal stuff. (Oh, and then deciding to add another game to what I already play, and thus went into app-writing hell.)

So...JANUARY! Eight will be fairly intent on helping the elves, and not just helping them move out, either. That's their home, and he'll want to help them keep it if he can. I'm pondering having him injured, but definitely not dead. Not sure on that one. It's just something that came to mind.

I don't really have much else planned. Just gonna stick to the game plot, and whatever else comes up.
